When Harivams began to collect the things needed for his prayers to the demigod, he tripped and fell. He lost consciousness. In his dreamlike state, he saw the demigod, who spoke to him, "You have made a mistake by doubting Shri Mahaprabhuji. I will not be happy with you until you go and say sorry to him. Shri Mahaprabhuji is the Lord Himself."
As soon as Harivams woke up, he hurried to Shri Mahaprabhuji, feeling very sorry. He bowed down and said, "Please forgive me, Shri Mahaprabhuji. I did not know who you truly are. Kindly allow me to take shelter at your feet."
Shri Mahaprabhuji looked at him and said gently, "You are a Brahmin, just like I am. Why do you speak of surrender?" But Harivams did not give up. He replied, "I was unaware of your real nature. Please accept me as your own." Seeing his honest heart, Shri Mahaprabhuji lovingly accepted him and his whole family. From that day, he asked showed Harivams the path to worship Shri Krishna unwaveringly, the one who can become anything for his dear ones. Shri Mahaprabhuji explained that while other forms of the Lord are known for one special quality, Shri Krishna is special in every way and can form many kinds of loving bonds with everyone.
Later, Harivams had to travel to Patna for business. There, he met the local ruler, who was pleased with him and said, "If you ever want anything, just ask me." Harivams politely replied, "If I need anything, I will ask. But as a Vaishnav, my only wish is to see my Beloved Shri Krishna’s face."
When the colorful spring festival called 'dola' came close, Shri Krishna asked Harivams, "Will you swing me on the festival day?" But Harivams was far away from his home in Benares and was worried. How could he reach there so quickly from Patna?
He remembered the promise of the ruler. Harivams went to him and asked for help to reach Benares within three days. The kind ruler arranged for a horse and rider in every district along the way, so Harivams could travel faster than ever. He made it back home even before three days were up.
That night, everything was arranged for the festival. On the day of 'dola', Harivams swung Shri Krishna with joy and love. Everyone present felt the bliss of being a part of Shri Krishna’s playful festival.
After the celebrations, Harivams returned to Patna. The ruler asked, "What important work made you rush home?" Harivams only smiled and said, "It was some household work." He never spoke about his special experiences with Shri Krishna, not even with his family, because he knew that such sweet moments should be kept safe in the heart. Harivams loved serving his Lord in quiet devotion, always remembering that the deepest joys are the ones held close within.
