Devakapur lived right next to a kind and devoted man named Gajjan. One day, Gajjan invited some Vaishnavas to his home to share prasada. As they all sat down to eat together, something truly magical happened.
From his window, Devakapur looked over to Gajjan’s house. What he saw made his heart stop. There, sitting among the Vaishnavas, was none other than Shri Krishna Himself, calmly enjoying the meal! His form was full of divine light and love. The sight was so powerful that Devakapur fainted right where he stood.
After some time, he woke up, overwhelmed with joy and wonder. He ran straight to Gajjan and told him what he had seen. With folded hands, he asked, “When will I be able to see Shri Krishna again?”
Gajjan smiled and gently said, “Through the grace of Shri Mahaprabhuji, you will see Him again.”
Some days later, Shri Mahaprabhuji came to their town. Devakapur was filled with happiness and soon took initiation from Shri Mahaprabhuji. After accepting him as a disciple, Shri Mahaprabhuji said, “Come with me to Shri Gokul. I will give you a special gift there.”
Devakapur eagerly went along. When they reached Shri Gokul, Shri Mahaprabhuji gave him a beautiful svarupa of Shri Lalitatribhangji. From that day on, Devakapur lovingly performed daily seva to Shri Lalitatribhangji, offering food, water, flowers, and prayers with a pure and happy heart.
Years passed, and when Devakapur left this world, his devoted wife took over the seva. She served the Lord with the same love and care. After she too returned to the Lord’s world, their four sons came to the temple. They were surprised to find everything exactly as it should be—except for one thing: the svarupa of Shri Lalitatribhangji was missing!
Where had the Lord gone?
At that time, in a different town, there lived a gentle Brahmin lady who was a disciple of Shri Gusainji. One day, the divine form of Shri Lalitatribhangji appeared in her home. She was full of joy and started doing seva with deep devotion. She continued for many years, and finally, when the time felt right, she lovingly gave the svarupa to Shri Gusainji.
This story reminds us that Shri Krishna lovingly lives only where there is true bhakti. When our hearts are full of love and devotion, He will always stay close.
