Narrator Introduction

Narrator:
Welcome, everyone, to our play! Today, we will share the story of Damodardasji, a special boy with a big heart. He teaches us about kindness, faith, and how love for God brings light to the world. Now, let’s begin our journey.


ACT 1: The Wish for a Child

Scene 1: The Home

[Narrator stands to one side. Damodardasji’s Father sits, looking thoughtful.]

Narrator:
Long ago, there lived a gentle man who was very kind to everyone. But he had one wish in his heart—he wanted a child.

Father:
(looking up, hands joined)
O Lord, I pray for a son. I will raise him with love and teach him good values.

Narrator:
The kind father helped all who came to him. One day, a holy guest visited their home.

[Villager as “Holy Guest” enters.]

Father:
Welcome, holy one! Please rest here. Eat with us.

Holy Guest:
(smiling)
You are very kind. May your wish come true. Soon, you will have a son who brings happiness to many.

[Holy Guest exits. Father smiles, hopeful.]


ACT 2: The Birth of Damodardasji

Scene 1: The Joyful Day

[Narrator moves to center. Damodardasji’s Father paces with excitement.]

Narrator:
Time passed, and the father’s wish was answered. A baby boy was born, and the house filled with happiness.

[Damodardasji enters, playing as a baby, perhaps cradled by Father.]

Father:
(joyful)
Look at our baby! He is shining with a special light.

[Villagers gather, admiring.]

Villager 1:
This child is so peaceful.

Villager 2:
He looks like Krishna himself!

Narrator:
Everyone saw signs of greatness in the baby. The family called an astrologer to tell the future.


Scene 2: The Astrologer’s Prediction

[Astrologer enters, looking wise.]

Father:
Dear Astrologer, please tell us about our son.

Astrologer:
(studying Damodardasji)
This boy is blessed. Many people will find peace and joy because of him. His faith will shine bright.

Father:
(tearful with joy)
Thank you. We will teach him to be kind and loving.

[Narrator nods as everyone smiles.]


ACT 3: Damodardasji Grows Up

Scene 1: The Special Boy

[Narrator speaks as Damodardasji sits, humming or playing quietly.]

Narrator:
Damodardasji grew up to be a gentle and happy child. He loved listening to stories of Krishna and singing holy songs.

[Villagers play as friends, watching Damodardasji.]

Villager 1:
Damalaji, why do you always sing about Krishna?

Damodardasji:
(smiling)
When I sing to Krishna, my heart feels light and full of joy.

Villager 2:
Can we sing with you?

Damodardasji:
Of course! Let’s sing together.

[They sing and clap hands softly.]


Scene 2: Meeting Shri Mahaprabhuji

[Narrator steps forward. Shri Mahaprabhuji enters with calm grace.]

Narrator:
One day, Shri Mahaprabhuji came to the village. Everyone gathered to listen.

[Damodardasji joins the crowd.]

Shri Mahaprabhuji:
(raising hand in blessing)
Dear friends, always remember to love God and serve others. This is the path to happiness.

Damodardasji:
(stepping forward, with respect)
Mahaprabhuji, I want to learn from you. Please accept me as your student.

Shri Mahaprabhuji:
(gently)
Damalaji, your heart is pure. Stay true to your faith, and you will help many people.

[They bow to each other.]


ACT 4: Damodardasji’s Devotion

Scene 1: Faith in Action

[Narrator at side. Damodardasji stands with eyes closed, hands joined.]

Narrator:
From that day, Damodardasji followed Mahaprabhuji’s teachings. He prayed, helped others, and lived with love in his heart.

[Villager approaches, looking sad.]

Villager:
Damalaji, my family is hungry. Can you help us?

Damodardasji:
(kindly)
Of course, friend. Please come eat with me.

[Narrator: Damodardasji shared what he had with anyone in need. His kindness brought joy to all.]


Scene 2: Damodardasji’s Blessing

[Narrator at center.]

Narrator:
Years passed, and people came from far away to see Damodardasji. He taught them to love God and care for one another.

[Group of villagers stand around, Damodardasji blesses them.]

Damodardasji:
May Krishna’s love fill your lives. Remember, kindness is the greatest gift.

Villager:
Thank you, Damalaji. We will never forget your words.

[Narrator steps forward, all characters gather.]

Narrator:
